Enforce a full UK lockdown for 1 week every year to ease the effect of pollution
Close all non-essential services for 1 week every year. Leaving only emergency services and small corner shops open as well as essential utility services like gas electric and water plants.
The signs across the globe during the lock down for COVID-19 have proven that a short period of lock down have a massively positive effect on the environment.
The best example being the canals in Venice, after just a week the waters were clear and the sealife in those streams were thriving. I feel this is something the UK should take a lead in proving to the world that we can help the environment and help save our future.
This would also give us a chance to spend time with our families properly.
