The 26th March EVERY YEAR should be national NHS appreciation day.
Every year at 8pm the nation should come together to show our Appreciation for our NHS workers and our community carers. The atmosphere on the 26th March at 8pm was very emotional and you really could feel the appreciation in the air.
To make the 26th March “national NHS appreciation day” every year. Allow the nation to come together at 8pm to clap and cheer on for our hard working carers and NHS workers.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you want the Government to acknowledge the role of the NHS, but it's not clear exactly what you want the Government to do. The Government is not responsible for designating national days of appreciation.
We have started a petition calling on the Government to create a new Bank Holiday in recognition of the NHS and all its amazing workers, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/303882
We have also started a petition calling on the Government to award Covid-19 medals to all emergency services and involved armed forces, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/302613
