Petition Details

Encourage credit score agencies to freeze credit scores in the positions they are until the Corona epidemic is finished.

Additional Information

A lot of people are going to have their credit rating affected due to factors beyond their control.
Government intervention will help safeguard credit ratings that have taken years to build.

The preparation and scoring of credit reports is a matter for individual credit reference agencies in cooperation with lenders, not the Government or Parliament. The UK's three credit reference agencies have all issued statements and advice about what people should do if they are facing financial difficulties as a result of the outbreak.
