Limited Company Directors to receive Government support during COVID-19
Please pay directors of Limited companies 80% of their average earnings (up to £2500 like the employed and self employed). Currently there has been help for the employed, unemployed and self-employed but nothing for directors of limited companies who usually take their earnings via dividends.
Directors who run their businesses as Limited companies are not entitled to any contribution towards their income, whilst the employed and self-employed are entitled to 80% of their usual monthly income. Some limited companies are not entitled to the grants as they don't have a property and some are expected to pay employees 80% of wages (before knowing when they will be reimbursed via the government grant). With no contribution towards directors earnings these businesses will ultimately fold.
