Give support to self employed who will have their first tax return in April 2020

Petition Details

People who have recently become self employed might not have a tax return from 2018-2019, so why not give them the chance to apply with the returns from 2019-2020.

Additional Information

A lot of people who have recently become self employed will be struggling the next two or three months if they're not to be given the same support as the others. As a new self employed I can't claim anything else rather than Universal Credit and that doesn't cover not even one third of my expenses. It's three of us from the same house currently in the same situation, leaving only one person from house being able to work as a key worker and trying to support everyone else. I believe we aren't the only ones across the UK.
