Test NHS staff for COVID-19 with any manner of symptoms, no matter how mild
Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock have been tested for mild COVID-19 symptoms and both have a positive result. NHS staff are having to self isolate without having a test, or in other cases not isolating as they are asymptomatic or do not have a cough and fever.
I work frontline at an inner city GP surgery. This week, 9 members of our 18 strong team have had to self isolate due to symptoms. I have had cold symptoms (no cough or fever) from Sunday last week, during that time I attended my workplace. If I had been tested before I would have known not to go to work and further infect others. Frontline staff should be tested to maintain operation capability and reinforce the strength of NHS staff helping the most vulnerable.
(Also we need more PPE urgently)
