Covid bail outs for companies in exchange for carbon-reducing commitments.

Petition Details

We call on the chancellor Rishi Sunak to grant public money only to companies which make firm, transparent, carbon-reducing commitments in line with the UN's IPCC recommendations.

Additional Information

Covid-19 has presented us with empty shelves, personal tragedy and public conflict. A glimpse into a future we may face as a result of climate change.

Rescue packages to help the economy recover from the Covid-19 crisis present a major opportunity for our economy to make the urgent move away from fossil fuel dependency, to one that can grow sustainably and help limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
