Ensure Package Travel Regulations 2018 act is unchanged for existing holidays.
Enforce the Package Travel Regulations 2018 for any holidays booked preceding the 17th March 2020 before Coronavirus was deemed a known event, regardless of subsequent legislation change.
Consumers should be entitled to a full refund if they desire, regardless of any flexible options offered.
The financial stress millions of consumers around the globe are currently experiencing now deems regulations around refunds paramount for enforcement.
Consumers are more than likely to need access to holiday monies previously paid to travel companies due to the constant and rapidly declining financial positions throughout the economy.
Flexible options, including long dated credit notes, will leave consumers open to exploitation for price hikes and difficulty finding a similar excursion.
