Add 1p to income tax for extra NHS funding
We are asking the goverment to put an extra 1p on income tax to give the NHS some of the extra funding it needs in the longer term, to employ more staff and resources.
The NHS has been historically underfunded for many years and has been at breaking point for some time. The current Covid19 pandemic has shown how many shortages there are. However it has also proved what an amazing and invaluable institution it is. In view of how important the NHS is to the UK and how affectionate the public feel about it, I would like to ask the government to stop its privatisation and give them a big message about how we are all willing to pay more tax to save it.
