Compensate University students vacating private student housing due to COVID-19
Compensate University students for their financial losses from having to pay for the third semester in private rented accommodation that will not be lived in due to Universities being closed and sending their students home.
Students with contracts on houses in University towns with private landlords are being sent home a semester early by their University. Landlords demand that the terms of their rental contract are upheld in full. Students need to return to their family home (if they have one) because of COVID- 19 family financial and mental health reasons. Universities buildings are in lockdown. Students should NOT have to make a payment from their own finances/ student loans for a service they will not receive.
