A new Bank Holiday on July 5th each year to celebrate the founding of the NHS.
Parliament to agree to a National Bank Holiday day each year on 5th July to celebrate the founding date of the NHS.
This will be known as "NHS DAY".
NHS staff who work on this day will receive a day off in lieu.
The NHS is our most special institution and since it's founding date, it has transformed the health of the people of the UK.
The nation recently came together for a "national applause session" to support NHS workers who risk their lives on the front line and this shows how much we value this amazing institution.
