Military to aid police with upholding lock down Law.
We need the military out and about assisting the police to keep people inside. Now I understand there been talks to do this already but we need this to happen indefinitely and as soon as possible.
This should happen because the longer we wait, the more people become infected and the harder it is to eliminate this threat to our nation. If the government enforces this sooner then the sooner we can all get back to normal life.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Maintaining public order is the responsibility of the police, not the military. The Government has said that the Ministry of Defence is working with a range of partners across Government, including the National Police Chiefs Council and the Home Office, to understand how it can best support the Government’s response to the outbreak. It would be an operational decision for the police whether to request assistance.
