Award a Corona virus Campaign Medal to healthcare workers.
Issue a campaign or service medal to the healthcare individuals working in great peril to protect us from the corona virus, perhaps in the form of a lapel pin, to provide a lasting and visible tribute to their service.
This simple action would provide a lasting and visible tribute to their service long after the virus has been defeated. It might be a means to constantly remind us in the future of the dangers of complacency in protecting the health of the nation and mitigate the risks of a similar future event. Individuals outside of the health care sector who have also made outstanding contributions to its defeat could be recognised by nomination.
