Change the date for the coronavirus job retention scheme for new employees
Employers cant claim funding (JRS) for new employees that have been employed after Friday 28th February and before the government announcement to support workers losing their jobs. Leaving employed workers being dismissed from work and only able to claim universal credit.
I would like to see the date set by the government (Friday 28th February) changed to Friday 20th March, when the announcement was made by the chancellor to support employees. I feel that the government as done a fantastic job in supporting workers, but they have left these employed workers behind.
