Petition Action

Remove the NHS prescription charge for the next few month due to Covid-19

Petition Details

Due to the current climate many people have lost their income yet are still expected to pay for their prescription, some of which are vital for their health. Those on benefits are entitled to free prescription however this should be open to the whole public until the crisis has ended.

Additional Information

The government should step in and pay for people’s prescription, many will be unable to attend any hospital appointment or ANE for other health emergencies and so GP’s will be their first point of contact, however many will not be able to afford their prescription and run the risk of not taking any medicine.
