Include tax year 2019-2020 for (COVID-19) Self-employment Income Support Scheme
To have a debate and include the profits from tax year 2019-2020 in the order to calculate the average profits for (COVID-19) Self-employment Income Support Scheme
The proposed (COVID-19) Self-employment Income Support Scheme specifies that the grant will be calculated on the basis of earnings from 2016-2019. we believe that the current tax year should also be included. Otherwise, it will significantly reduce or even exclude the taxable grant from a large group of people. Based on the statistics only between July and September 2019, 4.95 million people were registered, where number of newly registered was 190 000. In our opinion 2019-2020 can be the only or/and most profitable year to calculate an average and at the same time the most realistic profits that would be therefore based on the most recent income of self-employed workers.
