Petition Action

Provide financial aid to those forgotten by job retention schemes during Covid19

Petition Details

There are thousands of people who are still left without any financial support during the Covid-19 crisis as businesses are forced to close or downsize - these people deserve the same treatment as those currently included in schemes.

Additional Information

Those who in March have started new jobs, returned to work after time off, or who have had no choice but to work reduced hours; dependent contractors, and ltd company contractors have all been left with little to no income support.

These people are not considered eligible for the current job retention scheme or any financial support. The UK government needs to change the criteria to support these forgotten people suffering and without options to pay their bills or buy food.
