Petition Action

Cap the prices of essential retail items during the COVID19 pandemic.

Petition Details

Citizens of the United Kingdom want retail prices capped on all essential items during the COVID19 pandemic. There are too many unscrupulous retailers inflating prices of items like hand sanitisers, baby formula, disinfectants, toilet rolls and medicines.

Additional Information

The public cannot be expected to pay up to 4 times the Recommended Retail Price for these essential items when our great country is in such a time of need. Retailers are making extortionate profits at the expense of those in need and we would like it to stop. The government could assist and implement emergency measures as other countries have done to ensure profiteering and price gouging do not happen.
