I am calling for the government to support charities affected by COVID-19
I am calling for Government to support the many charities in the UK that are facing financial hardships during the COVID-19 outbreak. Many of these charities are taking strain off the NHS and other services, so without these services will suffer.
Without support many charities will run out of finances due to not being able to raise mum and thus services that they provide will cease.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition the Government has announced a £750 million package of support for charities, including grants for smaller charities. The Government has also said it will match fund whatever the public decides to donate to the BBC’s Big Night In charity appeal on 23 April: www.gov.uk/government/news/chancellor-sets-out-extra-750-million-coronavirus-funding-for-frontline-charities
