STOP ONLINE RETAILERS SELLING NON-ESSENTIAL GOODS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC!

Petition Details

Employees and their families are being unnecessarily placed at risk of contracting Covid-19, as retailers of non-essential goods prioritise profit over safety; some going so far, as to promote sales, as they exploit the enforced closure of High Street outlets. This must be stopped!

Additional Information

To limit the progress of Covid-19, the Govt. recently ordered all non-essential goods retailers to close with immediate effect. Additionally, it was suggested the Public should use "online" retailers, limiting the risks associated with trips to the High Street. Unfortunately it was not stressed that online purchases should only be for essential goods e.g. health products. This is being exploited by certain companies e.g. sellers of footwear, who expect employees to ignore explicit advice about "staying at home " to protect the NHS and themselves/families and YOU! All in the pursuit of profit. In accord with the Govt. guidance , all retailers of non-essential goods, should cease trading with immediate effect and await clearance from Government to resume. Lives matter!!
