Temporarily enforce a reduction on energy prices
During the COVID19 pandemic, energy companies should be forced to either reduce people’s bills. This is given to the fact that the majority of the population (except key workers) are having to self-isolate at home, meaning that they are using more energy than usual.
With the COVID19 pandemic in effect, along with the Government enforced self-isolation, the majority of the population are having to stay at home. Whereby they are more than likely to be using more energy than usual. Especially with so many people being affected by COVID19, insomuch as losing their jobs and other industries (eg mortgages) offering some kind of support to people. It would make financial sense to individuals, for energy companies to introduce temporary reductions in their prices/bills.
