Reduce plastic food packaging to save lives from Covid-19 and create less waste.
To put laws in place to immediately reduce any unnecessary packaging, particularly in supermarkets.
Covid-19 is thought to be spread on food packaging particularly plastics and metal where it can live for up to 3 days. By reducing packaging it could slow down the spread of the virus and mean that vulnerable people feel less anxious.
We have all seen that plastic is polluting our seas, killing fish, turtles and other sea creatures. It also uses large amounts of carbon to create plastic and metal packaging which is often single use.
