Replace all benefits with 'Universal Basic Income' during Covid-19 AND beyond.
Coronavirus has highlighted the need to protect everyone in society. From the street sweeper to to the highly paid banker. Paying all citizens a monthly amount (enough to live a basic existence) will protect against future uncertainties. Be it a pandemic, a changing job market or anything else.
Protect us ALL against unforeseen crisis like Covid-19.
Free people from abusive work (like zero hours contracts) and give them the option to get training and evolve their careers.
End working just to pay the rent.
End benefit fraud by giving this payment to everyone rich or poor.
End the red tape of a means tested benefit system.
Place less demand on the NHS, with a healthier and happier population.
Studies show this is cheaper for the state than the current system.
