Financial support for newly self employed
Provide financial support to the newly self employed not covered by the chancellor's measures to provide 80% of average monthly income.
The chancellor announced measures to support those that have already submitted tax returns for 3 years or tax year 19/20. This does not cover the newly self employed. Yet the HMRC will still expect tax to be paid by the same people that these measures don't protect. The government could support the newly self employed by looking whether they have had any income from paye or if they had universal credit pre March.
