Support for working parents during COVID-19 epidemic and school/nursery closure

Petition Details

Government must support full-time working parents who are working from home, and also provide full-time childcare and education. Government must introduce reduced working hours per day, and cover for the rest of the hours, or extra paid holidays to household with young children.

Additional Information

During COVID-19 epidemic and following school/nursery closure, households who have both parents working from home, or households which are single parent families and the parent is working from home, are struggling and are under massive pressure to balance between delivering their job as normal from home, while should also provide home education and spend time for childcare. This will lead to poor career performance, extended working hours and exceeded stress level with impact on mental health.
