Petition Action

Stop parking wardens, DVLA CCTV vehicles and speed camera vans during lockdown

Petition Details

Stop the abuse that these services are taking advantage during these difficult times during the lockdown.

Additional Information

It's abuse of the lockdown, there's more people at home with parked cars, less spaces to park, and the parking wardens and DVLA are taking advantage of it, it's a disgrace taking money from innocent people during these times. It's not the public's fault this has happened with covid 19... They should not be allowed to fine people when money is stretched anyway at this time

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Decisions about how to enforce parking restrictions are a matter for individual parking authorities, and not the Government or Parliament.

We have published a petition calling on the Government to encourage local authorities and private car parks to suspend parking fines, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/307972
