Wage increase of at least 20% for all key workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Government should either top up all key workers wages or demand that businesses that remain open and still making money, temporarily raise the wages of all of their employees by a minimum of 20% during the COVID-19 pandemic.
These workers are putting their lives and the lives of their families on the line by continuing to go out and interact with others. Many are in normal jobs and didn't sign up for this kind of danger. While many are at home doing the right thing in isolation, these workers are bravely having to keep the country going during extremely difficult times, often with higher travel costs as public transport becomes less frequent. They deserve our complete gratitude and should be paid extra for this.
