Allow plant nurseries to open to sell living plants
Change the rules on essential shopping to allow garden centres and plant nurseries to sell plants they have grown for planting out, subject to social distancing rules being followed
For the well being of plant growing/selling businesses, the public purse, gardeners and not least bees and butterflies; why can't growing plants be sold instead of being dumped?
If we can queue and be allowed into supermarkets, newsagents etc which stock the odd plant, why can't we go one by one into garden centres and nurseries to buy their plants?
Clothes, booze, cars etc will survive the lockdown, these plants and businesses will not.
Please apply common sense instead of an unnecessary bail out.
