Big 4 supermarkets to deliver to at risk and vulnerable people only.
Reduce burden on the NHS, by encouraging Supermarkets to free up delivery capacity for those who really need it. Unnecessary for general households to be utilizing online delivery. The current situation is failing the vulnerable, sick and at risk. No capacity exists for the 3million affected people.
1)Morrisons, Sainsburys, Asda amd Tesco have zero capacity for online deliveries for the at risk and vulnerable people. - Publicaly, politically they claim they do, but the fact is they don't.
2)Phone lines are jammed, calls disconnected by design, online not responded to.
3) Only registered households on the gov list can be allocated online grocery delivery
4)The general public have access to supermarkets, 12 week isolation households do not.
5) Supermarkets are registering record sales.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The opening and delivery arrangements for individual supermarkets are a matter for those supermarkets, not the Government or Parliament. A number of retailers have announced plans to open early for elderly or vulnerable customers, and keyworkers. A number of retailers have also introduced social distancing measures and restrictions on the number of people who can enter their stores at the same time. You should contact your local supermarket to find out if they have put such arrangements in place.
The Government has made certain changes to enable supermarkets to work together during the coronavirus outbreak, particularly to serve customers who are elderly, ill or vulnerable: www.gov.uk/government/news/supermarkets-to-join-forces-to-feed-the-nation
