National holiday once Covid-19 is beaten.
I propose that the government take the bank holidays not utilised to their full potential during this Covid-19 Pandemic and have a national holiday once we have beaten it, to commemorate and celebrate lives lost, those who have survived and the nation for pulling together during this time.
As a nation, we often look forward to our bank holidays.
It's an addition to our annual leave ,that we generally like to spend with our nearest and dearest during the spring and summer months.
As Covid-19 will be preventing this due to the essential need for social distancing, it would make sense to use our bank holidays during this time and create a national holiday for us all to celebrate surviving it as a nation and commemorate those lives, sadly lost to the disease.
