Discuss giving BTEC students predicted grades due to COVID-19
The Government should consider giving BTEC college students predicted grades instead of completing assignments and coursework at home whilst unable to physically attend classes due to COVID-19 teachers should be allowed to reinstate new predicted grades fairly before they're submitted.
"Learning from home" is very stressful for students, as it lacks face to face interactions that are necessary to learn.Being self taught from home via the internet is making it difficult to finish work correctly and receive feedback for work done, in addition to straining teachers who have to work around this. The majority of students undertaking BTEC qualifications will under perform and gain low grades, in addition to being closed at home with the entire family and under constant distraction.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about exams are a matter for exam boards and individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament. You can read the Government's announcement about what will happen to exams here: www.gov.uk/government/news/further-details-on-exams-and-grades-announced
Ofqual has stated that it is working with awarding organisations to finalise a list of qualifications that we will advise the Secretary of State should be in scope for learners to receive a calculated result, and this will include many BTEC Nationals: www.gov.uk/government/news/awarding-vocational-and-technical-qualifications-this-summer
