Announce to the public that during the lockdown period use of public rights of way over farmland for walking/running is retracted. Empower police to fine or prosecute public crossing farmland during the covid-19 lockdown period to maintain social distancing, protect our farmers and food security.

Additional Information

Farmers have seen an acute rise in both walkers over farmland and rise in sheep worrying by dogs, on asking for dogs to be put on leads farmers have been met with aggression, confrontation and physical attack, moreover farmers are being put at risk by increased numbers of possible carriers using gateways and access points into their land that are not being disinfected after touch.
