Petition Action

Include employees that just started a new job in covid-19 job retention scheme.

Petition Details

The covid 19 job retention scheme allows employees that have worked for a company before February 28th to be furloughed and the government will pay 80% of wages.

I want the government to include people who started a new job to progress careers after this date to also be included in the scheme

Additional Information

I started a new job to progress my career At the beginning of March. I have since been Unable to work.

I have bills that i have to pay and am going to be unable to do so once I have received my last pay.

Like so many others I need the government to include genuine people that have genuinely changed jobs in the Short time frame between 28th Feb and now to be included in the scheme and also receive 80% of their salary.
