Erect a statue in Cardiff Bay to represent our NHS staff

Petition Details

To coincide with the opening of the Museum of Military Medicine in Cardiff Bay I propose that a statue is erected to represent our NHS staff and what they do for us, as well as to remember those who have sacrificed themselves in order to go above and beyond for their patients!

Additional Information

I believe it would be a fitting tribute/memorial to those that have lost thier lives in the UK serving in the NHS as well as to represent all NHS staff past, present and future that serve the UK so selflessly, once this is all over. I also believe it would be good to host such a memorial outside of London, I suggest Cardiff as there is supposed to be a museum of military medicine opening in the near future and it might be appropriate to link them.
I believe taxpayers would happily fund this!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Erecting a statue in Cardiff Bay would be a matter for the Welsh Government or Cardiff Council, not the UK Government or House of Commons.
