Abolish council tenants Council Tax
The Government/Parliament should scrap Council Tax for all tenants. Council Tax is a tax on domestic property by local council, and the council use it to pay for local services such as, schools, rubbish collection, roads, street lighting. Tenants also pay for police salaries,NHS & Fire Brigade.
The Government and/or Parliament are the only ones that can put this into force.
Why should tenants get into debt not being able to pay their Council Tax just so the police can be paid their salaries? We shouldn't have to pay for the police forces wages. The forces should pay their officers salaries.
We pay rent as it is and have enough to pay with that.
The Government and councils should pay for the local services, not tenants.
