Stop the social care cuts to disabled people in substantial need.
Stop the social care cuts to disabled people in substantial need.
Reinstate the care that has already been withdrawn from disabled people.
Have an urgent enquiry
into social care provision, which has being ignored for so long, and is essential now
Crucial care services are being withdrawn due to The Coronavirus Act, which has
watered-down local authorities’ duty of care to adults and children.
It makes no sense to cut social care provision for those in substantial need. Doing so endangers life and could create extra pressure on the NHS. Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson told fellow peers during the bill’s second reading in the Lords on Tuesday that the measures would be “a health and social care obliteration bill by a different name”.

We understand that you are concerned about the impact of the Coronavirus Act on the provision of social care, but it is not clear exactly what action you want the Government to take.
If you want the Government to repeal the measures suspending local authority obligations relating the social care, you could start a new petition requesting this. You could also start a new petition requesting the Government increase funding for social care during Covid-19.
