Petition Action

Tax exemption for key workers during the covid 19 lockdown

Petition Details

Furlough workers take a 2-5% cut in their collections to fund the taxation of these key workers thereby allowing them to work, free of tax, to continue to provide the fine service to the country. It's the right thing to do.

Money left over can be used to boost the economy post covid.

Additional Information

During the corona virus pandemic key workers are being expected to work at great risk to themselves. Most of these are on minimum wage and as a result have no choice but to continue to work regardless of their health and the health of their families.

I suggest the furlough workers take a 2-5% cut in their collections to fund the taxation of these key workers thereby allowing them to work, free of tax, to continue to provide the fine service to the country. It's the right thing to do.
