Award the George Cross to all NHS staff, workers who die from Covid 19.
NHS staff & workers are currently dying of Covid19 Knowing that they may catch and die from this disease. In some cases they are undertaking this work without the benefit of the correct quality PPE, or in many cases no PPE. This courage deserves to be recognised by the award of such a medal.
If one of the armed forces undertook such an act of bravery then he would be nominated for the VC. In addition all NHS and essential workers deserve a medal for combating Covid 19 similar to the campaign medals issued to members of the armed forces.
This would be a fitting way for the government and populace to say thank you for those who have made the ultimate sacrificetrying to save lives.
