COVID-19 FINANCIAL SUPPORT/GRANT TO BUSINESS PAYING RENT AND RATES TO LANDLORD
COVID-19 Small Business Grants Scheme offered by the Government is only applicable for Business that pay Business Rates or are exempt from Business Rates. There are Thousands of Small Business who pay Rent Inclusive of Business Rates due to which they are not eligible for the current grant scheme.
Businesses who pay Rent and Rates All in one Lump Sum Amount to their landlords should also be eligible for COVID-19 Small Business Grant Scheme OR the Government should create a different grant scheme for such businesses to financially support them during this crises just like they are supporting all other businesses that pay business rate directly to the local authorities.
