Petition Action

Clear all student debts for nurses working during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Petition Details

I believe that the Government should write off all student debts for the nurses working during the COVID-19 pandemic. To Inc. midwives, carers & working in mental health that graduated from 1995-2020 on a healthcare course, if they are working for the NHS or military during the 2020 pandemic.

Additional Information

The nurses on our frontline do not receive a substantial salary and yet they have incurred many £000s of student debt. There is little we can do to help them at this critical time but our lives depend on their care. They are there for us when we pass, when we give birth and in many cases look after our elderly and infirm when we are sat at home unable to help. Let's their lives easier when this is over. We may not be able to give them huge salary increases, but we can minimise their debt.
