Any use of the government's support schemes without genuine financial need is detrimental to the wider society. The government should not pay any footballer furloughed pay, Given the sacrifices many people are making, the first thing PL footballers can do is make a contribution to the NHS

Additional Information

Every sportsman/women , pop star and movie star or anyone famous should donate 10% of there income or what they are worth, it's not like they need it is it. Those on the front line should get all that money they deserve it

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Government aren't responsible for requiring people to make charitable donations.

In any case. the furlough scheme only covers salaries up to £2,500 per month, so could not be used to cover more than this for highly paid individuals.
