Give all key workers a pay rise and increase working conditions
The government should give all key workers a pay rise during this pandemic. This list includes but is not limited to:
- NHS staff
- Social Care workers
- Public service workers
- Supermarket/grocery store workers
Also, there should be better H&S precautions to ensure their safety.
It is heartwarming to see so many key workers of the UK stepping up and doing their best to serve their country!
Whether it’s a binman, a nurse, or a delivery driver - they are all equally as essential in this trying time.
However, some are not being sufficiently rewarded, even though they spend every day on the front line. We can change that.
I believe ALL essential worker’s hourly rates should be increased to at least £15 an hour. This is the very least we can do for them.
