Petition Action

Give the Elizabeth Cross Medal to anyone from the NHS that die due to COVID-19.

Petition Details

The Elizabeth Cross was launched in 2009. It is granted to the next of kin of Armed Forces personnel killed on operations or as a result of terrorism as a mark of national recognition for their loss. COVID-19 is a war against an new enemy and NHS and Care staff are losing their lives battling it.

Additional Information

Parliament should acknowledge the hard work and sacrifice that members of the NHS and care staff have gone through during this COVID-19 outbreak. They should extend the conditions of the Elizabeth Cross to members of the NHS that have lost their lives during service for the country so that their service and dedication will not be forgotten.
