Reduce student interest rates in line with the Bank of England’s rates.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis the interest rates on student loans, past and present, should but cut to be in line with the current Bank of England Interest rates. There has been very little help for students in regards to this crises and this is a way for the Government to provide support.
Present and past university students who are accruing costs on student loans have received little or no help during the Covid-19 crisis despite being impacted financially. With no help in regards to university fee’s or cost in unused rental accommodation this is one way the Government can support its students. In addition to this with the economy struggling job prospects for those graduating this year are uncertain. Students are needing support and the Government needs to take action to help.
