Petition Action

Increase the budget for mental health to cope with the effects of the pandemic

Petition Details

Mental Health services in the UK are already overstretched. The government needs to significantly increase the budget allocated to mental health.

Additional Information

Increasing the budget will enable the NHS to respond more effectively to the psychological and psychiatric aftereffects of the covid-19 pandemic. This will include an exacerbation of existing conditions, and an emergence of new cases. A budget increase will allow more staff to be employed and more training to be given
