Give NHS staff a bonus and pay rise for their work in the Coronavirus pandemic
As a nurse of 39 years I’ve seen the last 10 leave their mark due to cuts. Services and staff have disappeared, many remaining at a minimum with staff over stretched and burnt out. Now they have the extra burden of Coronavirus. Give them the financial recognition they deserve, a bonus and pay rise.
Matt Hancock says money’s no object in the Coronavirus fight-so use some to reward the NHS staff who are fighting. Keir Starmer says, “For too long key workers have been poorly paid” “They were last and now they should be first” “What requires us to rethink, we will rethink” “I will listen to you” NHS staff are risking their lives, their loved ones and sadly some have made the ultimate sacrifice. Millions have stood and applauded the NHS, they’re proud, it’s so important to them. Listen to them.
