Implement total prohibition of rejecting the Housing Benefit from the tenants
Make not accepting Housing Benefit by the landlords unlawful
The tenants in the most vulnerable positions, due to their circumstances, claiming Housing Benefit are presently pushed out of their homes by the landlords who do not accept the Housing Benefits. They are being traumatised, forced into more financial difficulties and regularly refused continuing their tenancy or even starting it. They are being pressured to organise the move and search for a new place. It affects their finances and lives for months and years. Many of them become rough sleepers.
