Introduce an optional extra tax on income to benefit the NHS. Example: 50p/week.
Introduce an easy to sign up for, or signed up for by default but easy to stop optionally, payment into the NHS by way of a modified tax code to support them financially. If 30 million tax payers volunteered 50p a week we could add £15mil a week into the NHS budget.
The NHS is a great thing and offers world class care. An optional support payment would offer the general public a chance to directly support the NHS by way of financial payment. A small cost per person but if enough people do it, a massive help for the greater good of the NHS
