Seek an extension to Brexit transition period
Seek an extension to the EU Brexit transition period and put a hold on Brexit negotiations for the time being to focus on getting the country through the Corona virus crisis
As the country is fighting the Corona virus pandemic and the future for many businesses is uncertain, it seems unthinkable that the government should use this time to negotiate an exit from the EU, at a time when we need the EU more than ever. Their focus at the moment must be on getting the country through this crisis, get the much needed tests and PPE for frontline staff and then the wider community and then also start to plan how we are going to recover from this unprecedented situation.
