Petition Action

Award the NHS the George Cross

Petition Details

The NHS as a hole should be awarded the George Cross for acts of the greatest heroism and most conspicuous courage in circumstance of extreme danger in relation to the Coronavirus. This should then be incorporated into the NHS logo across the nations NHS systems.

Additional Information

Similar to the award of the George Cross to Malta during WWII the NHS workers across the board have shown their dedication and conspicuous courage and greatest heroism while dealing with a virus that does not discriminate who it attacks. NHS workers always put themselves at risk to save others and during a time not seen for a century they as a whole they should receive the recognition that will be seen and remind everyone everyday of the sacrifices NHS staff make.
